Hand Study: Visual

Now to me hands are sensual and sexy. And men can have wonderful hands, and unlike women (and I enfasize this) Men don't have to have those soft, undefined girly hands!!!

Hands if drawn well can be incredibly expressive and draw and excentuate a picture. They can bring in emotion and inevitably add to your characters...well character!!! LOL

For this first Study I am not going to show you tricks for proportion, execution of angle, general make up of the anatomy of the human hand or showing you tricks for proportion of the hand at various angles. This first part is to merely show you a rough form and hopefully allow you to see how a single hand can be both emotional and eye catching....and becuase I am me please note none of the hands are girly, thin or frail!!!

Don't get me wrong, some guys have girly hands....hell I have manly hands since they are so callused and used....but drawing a mans hand you generally will have more detail around the knuckles, upper hand and yes the fingers!!!

I would honestly suggest for every beginning artist and even some more developed artists to go through your books and go on the net to study bone and muscle structure of the hand and try drawing notes to framilurize your self with the hand and how it works.

I'll have more pics later that will show you tricks for this as well but for now just a basic visual study.
